Why Mashindo Events, LLC was Formed:

The club just isn't like it used to be when you were younger. Nevertheless, you still like to go out and have a good time. You want a way to meet like-minded individuals, but you still want to let your hair down. If you have never been to a Mashindo Event, you are missing quite an experience. These young urban professionals and entrepreneurs were looking for comfortable places around the city to hang out and have fun. We do a little bit of everything...dining, bowling, laser tag, happy hour, traveling, dancing, sporting events, cultural events, etc, etc, etc. There are great locations in the DC Area and we want to explore them all! And so Mashindo Events, LLC was formed.

Who are the Owners?

Mashindo Events, LLC is an event planning and entertainment company comprised of young engineers, entrepreneurs, IT consultants, health care administrators, and sales and marketing professionals from Prince George’s county and Baltimore, Maryland, as well as Washington D.C.  Our social functions are purposed to provide an elegant, yet comfortable and socially responsible environment for young urban professionals, graduate students, entrepreneurs, and mature individuals to network and socialize. 

What's in a Name?

Swahili for loud noise, Mashindo is derived from two sayings and an idea.  Malcolm X said, "Early in life I had learned that if you want something, you had better make some noise." In addition, Martin Luther King Jr. said, "Our lives begin to end, the day we become silent about things that matter." The idea is that the co-owners of Mashindo Events, LLC want to make some noise not only in alternative ways to entertain, but in the community as well.

The Noise we Make:

The company's dedication to the community begins with the donation of a portion of profits from each event. In addition, the co-owners of Mashindo Events, LLC actively give back through their time as well. Please look at the "Giving Back" link for more information.

Our Promises:

We will not compromise on quality. We want everyone who attends a Mashindo Event to have a great experience. Therefore, we do things a little differently than what you may be used to. For instance, when we say there will be food ........there will be food, and plenty of it. We have no need to create a line, so you will not wait in one longer than it takes to check your identification, and give you a wristband. Although we definitely welcome everyone, our events are targeted to a certain demographic. Therefore, you are very likely to meet someone with the same aspirations, and on the same path as you. We are very selective of the entertainment and venue we choose. We are very selective because we want to make sure you enjoy your experience. We definitely welcome your feedback, because our events are for you. In addition, we will always donate a portion of the profits from each event back to our communities. The process of organizing the event is centered around the invitees. Once again......we will not compromise on quality.
